John's estate was executed by Bernard (Bryan) Brady. The records indicate that George Andrew Brady was the son of John and the sole heir. Bernard died the following year and named his parents and siblings as heirs. One sibling was a brother John, alive and living in St. Louis. Further research suggests that the Portland area John and Bernard were cousins.
Bernard apparently became the guardian of George. Bernard and his wife died the following year. On his deathbed, Bernard named his sister Margaret Brady McGill as George's guardian. She died shortly after that. By 1870 George was the ward of Andrew Callanan.

Gravesite Details
It is presumed that John was buried with his wife at St. Mary's. No burial record was found. Since he was murdered on a flatboat, and it is not known if he died immediately or was pushed off the boat....he may possibly have found a watery grave.
