Elizabeth M. Ala (1938-2002)
NASHUA - Elizabeth M. Ala, 63, of Nashua, died Monday, May 6, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes. She was born Dec. 3, 1938, in Charles City, daughter of Clyde and Lillian Lahmon Eygabroad.

She was a veteran of the US. Marine Corps, serving from 1958 to 1961. She worked as a bookkeeper with many employers in the Waterloo area, retiring from Credit Bureau Enterprises Inc. in 2001.

Survived by: three sons, Jasper of Schertz, Texas, Patrick of Dunkerton and Daniel of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren; and three sisters, Maxine Durnin and Virginia Snyder, both of Waterloo and Bonnie Manthey of Nashua. Preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Robert; and a sister, Doris Ostlie.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. There will be no visitation or viewing; the casket will be closed.
