Dale attended schools in Jasonville and moved to Indianapolis in 1953. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and after being honorably discharged, he worked for Ford Motor Company as a millwright for 30 years. He was a member of the UAW, Moose Lodge, the American Legion, Millersville Lodge No. 126 F&AM as well as being a long-time member of Shadeland Baptist Church.
Dale enjoyed fishing and dearly loved and cared for his family.
Dale is survived by his children, Rita (Phillip) Wesling, Janet Britton and Darryl (Rhoda) Buckallew; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his brother, Wayne (Helen) Buckallew and sister, Marge Woods.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Rosalie M. Buckallew in 2011, a daughter, Sandra Britton and six brothers and sisters.
