Lea Gapsky was a beautiful, leggy blond dancer said to have been born to a Russian family in Sunshine, Pennsylvania, in 1898. There is, however, no record of her birth; she claimed it was swept away in the great Johnstown Flood. Likewise, there is no official record of her marriage to Cliff Durant, though several sources say the two married in 1924. Lea was his 3rd and final wife.
She left for New York, and was last seen December 8th, 1934, never was heard of again.
A victim of foul play?... It was later classified as a cold case. Her disappearance was never fully investigated.
