Robert H. Coy, age 88, of Pemberville, OH, formerly of Stony Ridge, OH, passed away on Saturday morning, January 14, 2006, at Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, OH. He was born on April 12, 1917, in Toledo, OH to Arthur and Florence (Rideout) Coy. Robert married Lorraine Wiedenhoft in Toledo, OH on November 22, 1946, and she preceded him in death on July 16, 2002. He was a truck driver for Matlack Trucking in Northwood, OH retiring in 1976. Robert was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Stony Ridge, OH, Stony Ridge Civic Association and the Teamsters Union. Robert mowed and cared for the park in Stony Ridge for many years, this resulted in he and wife, Lorraine, being voted King and Queen during the Stony Ridge Festival some years ago. In his spare time Robert enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and gardening.
Robert is survived by his son, Bill (Donna) Coy of Millbury, OH; daughter, Sandy (Ron) Grolle of Bowling Green, OH; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine; sister, Grace Franz and brother, William Coy.
