Carmaline Rose Abbott, 91, passed away December 15, 2018. Visitation will be 10 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association. Carmaline was born February 4, 1927, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Salvatore and Minnie (LaBoi) Moley. She worked with her husband at Main Street Superette and later worked at Montgomery Wards. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were a big part of her life. Carmaline was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore Abbott; her brother and sister-in-law, Ross and Theresa Moley; and her brother-in-law, Vincent Mussorici. Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Gialde; son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Valerie Abbott; grandchildren, Angela and Roger Ridpath, Marianne and Victor Cascone, Stephanie and Joseph Mortallaro, Salvatore Abbott, Carmaline and Jimmy Bradley; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosalie Mussorici; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Pallbearers: Joe Mortallaro, Roger Ridpath, Victor Cascone, Jimmy Bradley, Tom Abbott, Vincent Mussorici. The family offers a special thank you to Dr. Michael DiBernardo, her caregivers Carole and Margie, and the staffs of North Kansas City Hospital and NorthCare Hospice for their care.
