Janet D. Williams, 85, of Williston, North Dakota, passed away Monday morning, December 17, 2018 at CHI Alexius Health Williston Medical Center in Williston.

Janet Darlene Goar was born in Williston, North Dakota to Kermit and Violet (Danielson) Goar on April 20, 1933. She was raised and educated in Williston and attended Williston High School where she belonged to several organizations.

On November 29, 1951, Janet was united in marriage to Douglas Williams. They made their home in Williston where they raised their four daughters; Gail, Barb, Kathy, Karen and their son, Kurt.

Janet worked for the State Health Unit and retired with them. She had lots of hobbies which included computer games, card games, reading, watching her favorite TV show 'Days of Our Lives', visiting with friends, cooking, listening to the Coyote basketball and baseball, women's bowling league, but most of all spending time with her family.

Surviving her are daughters, Gail (Clark) Hagen, Alamo, ND, Barb (Ken) Roark, Carpio, ND, Kathy Williams, Texas, Karen Ellenbecker, Velva, ND; sisters, Nyla Dahl, Watford City, ND, Linda Ydstie, Williston, ND, Susie (Mick) Moberg, Fargo, ND, Judy (Ed) Lodwig, Williston, ND; grandchildren, Jen Hagen, Mike (Stephanie) Roark, Jennifer Soggie, Chris (Melanie) Hagen, Candice (Kevin) Asmundson, Katie Broe, JD Baldwin, Casey Bates, Silke Baldwin, Kelsey Ellenbecker, Breanna Williams, and Miranda Williams; great-grandchildren, Taylor (Josh) Bucklin, Emily(Trevor) Christensen, Lyvia Roark, Nate Hagen, Mason Roark, Miya Cornelius, Brennan Asmundson, Stella Entzel, Hank Roark and Haddie Roark; great-great-grandchild, Maximus Bucklin; nieces and nephews special to her heart; Stevie, Traci, Adam, and Alex Burr; Debbie Burr; Brenda, Wade, Cole and Ryan Larmer; Bruce, Bailey and Bradey Burr; Jason and Laura Ditsworth; Nevin, Laura, Neil and Nolan Dahl; Nathan Dahl, Carol Percel; Janice Markert; Suzanne, Darin, Lauren, Hayden & Chloe Buchholz; Karen, Derek, Courtney and Meaghan Rowcliffe; her lifelong friend, Louise Watterson.
