"TRUCK CRASH IN VA. FATAL TO BALTIMOREAN"
Morton Edward Glassner, of 2245 Reisterstown road, was fatally injured today when the truck he was driving left the highway and struck a stone wall about one mile east of Afton, Va., on Route 250.
Glassner died in Waynesboro (Va.) Community Hospital shortly after noon. He was believed to have been thrown from the vehicle and beneath its rear wheels.
Dr. H. F. Floyd, coroner, attributed the death to internal injuries, deep shock and punctured lungs.
The Baltimorean was delivery the truck to Brand Chevrolet, Inc., of Waynesboro.

Funeral services for Morton Edward Glassner, 32-year-old Baltimore truck driver who was killed Wednesday morning in Route 250, four miles east of Waynesboro, will be held Sunday in Baltimore.
The accident occurred when the new Chevrolet truck Glassner was delivering to the Bran Chevrolet Co., in Waynesboro left the road on the left side and struck a rock wall about three feet high. The man apparently was thrown from the truck by the impact and later the vehicle is believed to have crossed over his body.
Born Oct. 9, 1915, Glassner was a veteran of World War II and had been a staff sergeant in the National Guard since his discharge from the Army. He resided with his mother, Mrs. Leah Pimes Glassner, Baltimore. Also surviving is his father, Mitchell Glassner. The truckman was employed by the Anchor Motor Freight Co., Inc., Baltimore.
