Robin Leslie Sparling was born in the summer of 1945 in Wednesbury in the West Midlands, the son of William Sparling and his wife Elsie (nee Gilpin).
In 1947 the family moved to Camberley where they lived in the cottage attached to Yockley House on The Maultway. Robin died in February 1948 at Yockley Cottage. He was buried at St Peter’s aged two on the 16th of February 1948.
