LOUISBURG -- Eugene A. "Gene" Semaske, 84, of Louisburg, died Sunday, March 16, 2003 in Franklin Regional Medical Center.
He retired from the US Navy, serving in the Pacific during WWII. He was a golf professional in eastern North Carolina for 25 years.
Funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church at Louisburg College Chapel. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, SC.
Surviving: wife, Trudy Semaske; son, Tom and wife, Rhonda of Raleigh; daughter, Julie Cox and husband, Tommy of Wilmington; sister, Virginia Landry of St. Petersburg Beach, FL; grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth and Jay Cox and Jeremy Bennett.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. at Lancaster Funerals and Cremations, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg.
