Airman First Class, Zackry Kirk Nelson, formerly of Dallas, age 23, of Langley AFB, Va., passed away May 19, 2007, in Hampton, Va. He was born on Nov. 30, 1983, in Dallas, Texas, to Neal Douglas Nelson and Jesse Parraine. He was a graduate of MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas, and a member of Lavon Baptist Church. He served his country as an Armament Systems Specialist in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his mother, Jesse Parraine of Dallas, Texas; father, Neal Nelson and his wife, Wendy, of Princeton, Texas; stepbrothers, Donald Eaves of Plano, Texas, and Edward Eaves of Princeton, Texas; grandparents, Leonard and Leah Joyce Jeffreys of Kaufman, Texas, and W. C. Nelson Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Ovilla, Texas; uncle and aunt, Randy and Sherry Norrell of Scurry, Texas; and cousins, Benjamin Norrell and his wife, Stacy, of Houston, Texas, and Lauren Norrell of Scurry, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Mark Forrest officiating. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at DFW National Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
