Burial 12/21/2018

On Wednesday December 19, 2018, Annie Lee (Melson) Pettitt of Odessa, TX went to be with her Lord & Savior at the age of 82.
Annie Lee was born on July 14, 1936 in Gilmer, TX to Bennie & Annie (Hudnall) West. She received her high school diploma from Hermleigh High School in 1954 and started a family shortly after in 1960.

She was an extraordinary wife, mother, sister and grandmother. But most importantly she was a devout Christian who loved her Lord. She loved to read, sew, bake, love on animals, listen to the oldies and spend time with her family. We will remember her most for her contagious laugh, endless wisdom, unwavering faith and heart of gold.

Annie is preceded in death by her father, Bennie F. West, her mother, Annie Bell West and first husband, Bill Melson.

She is survived by her husband Gail Pettitt of Odessa; her daughters Carolyn Harris of Midland, Brenda Melson of Odessa and Debbie Melson of Odessa; her stepchildren Tommy Pettitt & wife Teresa of Odessa, Cathy Davis & husband Shannon of Gardendale; granddaughter Jennifer Vogelman & husband Gene of Dallas; and siblings Velma Kalinec of El Campo, James West of Odessa and Betty Newman of Odessa; and numerous other extended family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday December 21, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Highway 80 at 2 o’clock pm.

The family would like to sincerely thank Melissa Miller & Cecilia Garcia of Hospice of West Texas and Aleida Suchil & Irene Ontiveros of A Pleasant Living for their endless love, support and generosity.
