Ruth May Abbott, 54, passed away peacefully, at her home, on Friday, December 21, 2018, at her home, with the love and support of her family at her side, following a courageous battle against cancer.Ruth was born September 29, 1964, the daughter of Jonas Parmeter and Phyllis Heavener. In 1982, she graduated from Morrisville High School. Ruth later was licensed as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant. Was a devoted caregiver and had spent numerous years at the former Stonehenge Nursing Home in Chittenango. Ruth had also devoted many years as a home healthcare provider. Most of all, she will be remembered as a loving and caring person, who put others, especially her children and grandchildren, before herself.Ruth is survived by her “best guy,” Frank Ogden; her children, Allan R. Abbott, Jr., and his wife, Elizabeth, of Eaton, Jessica Abbott, of Eaton, and Kayla Abbott, of Eaton; her beloved grandchildren, Alexxea, Brooke, and Kendra; her siblings: Mildred Johnson of Watertown, Gloria (Bill) Evans of Enterprise, AL, Gwen (Rob) Young of Cazenovia, Michelle Eiholzer of Dunn, NC, Geraldine Hucul, of Madison, Donald Parmeter of Fayetteville, NC, William (Lori Lamb) Parmeter of Hamilton; all of Ruth’s extended family, the Abbotts. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and close friends survive Ruth.She was predeceased by her parents, Jonas and Phyllis, and her brother Marty Eiholzer.Ruth’s family extends a special thank you to Dr. Robert Delorme and his staff of the Hamilton Family Health Center; as well as Dr. Robert Cooper, and his staff of Crouse Hospital; the nurses of Hospice and Palliative Care; and her personal aides, Doreen Maltzan, Sandy Jones, and Sue Hartle.In keeping with Ruth’s wishes there be no calling hours or services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
