May Pennington,died Wednesday
at a Twin Falls rest home.
She was born Jan.19,1879,in
Avilla,Mo.She was married to Jesse
Pennington Oct.27,1896.The couple
celebrated there golden wedding an-
niversary in 1946.Her husband died
in April,1947.
The couple moved from Missouri
to Indian territory in Oklahoma
and moved to Kimberly in 1921 from
Welch, Okla.
She was a member of the Kim-
berly Christian Church and the
Twin Falls unit of the Grand Army
of the Republic.
She is survived by two daughters,
Mrs.John Conway, Shoshone,and
Mrs.Flem Goddard,Concord Calif.;
six grandchildren;nine great-
grandchildren,and three sisters,
Mrs.Mary Margaret Dawson,Sar-
coxie,Mo.;Mrs.Nettie Flora Brown,
Hawthrone,Calif.,and Mrs.Ida
Grace Huston,Quincy, Mich. She
was preceded in death by her hus-
band, two children Herbert and
Velma Pennington.and seven sis-
ters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. Saturday at White Mor-
tuary chapel,with the Rev. Paul
Kenny officiating. Final rites will
be held, in Twin Falls Cemetary.
