***~***~*** OUR MOM ***~***~***

My mother is the daughter of Thomas and Ruth (Morrell) Sheedy.

Mother of 6 children(4 boys, 2 girls)

My mother was a good caring women...she just had a rough life because they could never find out what was wrong with her, she went from Doctor to Doctor (all saying in the end that she was just a Hypocondriac) all she got was more PILLS, which only seemed to either slow her down or make her violent.

Mom only liked modern furniture, she was not one for any hand me downs, she teased me about my love of antiques, she did collect colorful glass and some little knick-nacks.

Mom was not one for traveling, but went along with Dad because he enjoyed it so much.

Mom had lived in Michigan most all of her married life, when Dad retired, then they moved to Texas, I think she initially enjoyed the change, but it was hard on her leaving her grandchildren.

Mom depended on Dad for everything, he took such good care of her, she never learned to drive, do her bills or fend for herself, it is special to think how well Dad took care of her....but it left her unable and unwilling to care for herself.
After Dads death Mom seem to wander, finally settling in Oklahoma to be close to her youngest son that was in Prison there.

She chose not to deal with her children and grandchildren after Dads death (with the exception of 2 of her sons).

Mom died of Cancer, and according to my brother who was with her at the end, she requested that her ashes be scattered over her husband Lawrence E Welch's grave in Oakdale Cem., Hersey, Mich.

You are forever LOVED & missed.
