. Ada Francis Applegate Powell, 78, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Compassionate Care Center.
Mrs. Powell, the daughter of John F. Luster and Bessie M. Lyons Luster, was born in Madison County on October 7, 1940. She was the manager of South Gate Mobile Home Park and was also a hair dresser. Helping others and being a friend to all is how she will be remembered. She was a member of Church on the Rock.
She is survived by her loving husband, Hershel Powell; one sister-in-law: Darlene Luster and several nieces and nephews whom she called her children.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her brothers. Homer and Harold, as well as, their infant sister.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:30 PM Friday, December 28, 2018 at Combs, Parsons & Collins with Rev. Mark Sarver officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Coyle, Phillip Martin, Craig Powell, David Luster, Gordon Robinson, Robby Powell and Matt Hacker.
