Corbin E. Adams, 97, of Logansport, passed away, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

He was born to Oliver and Mary (Titus) Adams on April 21, 1921. He married Irene Carpenter in Middlesex, England, March 9, 1945 and she survives.

After attending LHS and working in the CCC, Corbin served in WWII with the 30th Depot Repair Group Squadron in England, then as a sergeant in the 9th Army Air Corps in France.

He was devoted to his family and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. As an owner of the “R” Bar, Corbin met many people, treating everyone as equals. After retirement, he was often seen walking his beloved dog Barney, finding discarded bicycles he’d retrieve, repair, and donate to the VFW for needy children.

Also surviving are two daughters and a son: Diane (Jeff) Reed, Robinson, IL; Dawn (Tim) Spangler, Kokomo; and David (Carol) Adams, Indianapolis; five grandsons and two granddaughters: Eric (Heather) Reed, Haubstadt, IN; Jason Reed, Vincennes, IN; Ty (Julie) Spangler, Westfield, IN; Christopher Adams and Justin Adams, Indianapolis; Sarah Spangler, Inverness, FL; and Jill Adams, Indianapolis and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding Corbin in death besides his parents are his siblings and their spouses: Dorothy (Clarence) Fife, Walter (Donna) Adams, Florence (Patrick) Kroeger, and Edward Adams.

Services entrusted to Gundrum Funeral Home.
