He was a resident of Lewisburg for the past five years, and prior to that was a lifetime resident of Milton.
He was born April 10, 1964, in Kelly Township, Union County, a son of the late Judge Samuel Charles Ranck and Sylvia Pauline (Klock) Ranck. His father retired in 2008 after serving on the Northumberland County bench for 38 years.
Tom was a graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1982. After graduation, he attended Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown and graduated from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, where he majored in business.
He was engaged in banking operations during his working career.
Tom was a member of First Baptist Church, Milton.
He is survived by one sister, Cynthia R. Person of Cogan Station; one nephew, Samuel J. Ranck of Atlanta, Ga.; and one uncle, Dale E. Ranck Jr. of Milton.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Charles Ranck III on Nov. 23, 2003.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Ranck family plot in the Milton Cemetery, Golf Course Road, Milton, with the Rev. James R. Dries, pastor of First Baptist Church, Milton, officiating. There will be no public viewing.
The Person and Ranck families are being served by funeral directors James R. Gotlob, Sunbury, and James L. Schwartz, Mifflinburg.
