TAYLORSVILLE--John Franklin Ledkins, 75, passed away June 18, 1999 of heart failure.
Born October 3, 1923 in Escambia County, Florida (sic) to William David and Arra Donia McClammy Ledkins. John was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Navy and was a member of the LDS Church. He married Darlene Heki on August 22, 1948. She preceded him in death January 12, 1987. Three sons were born of this union. John married Maxine Beckstead Britton on July 2, 1990. The nine stepchildren and grandchildren who entered his life from this marriage loved and cared for him very, very much. We all will miss him immensely. We love you Pa-Pa John!
Survivors: wife, Maxine, Taylorsville; sons, J. R. Ledkins (Debbie), Layton; Steve Ledkins (Susan), Highland, Utah; Jeff Ledkins (Cheryl); 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson; brother, Lonzo (Aida).
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at 1 p.m. in the West Jordan City Cemetery, 7800 South 1300 West where friends and family are welcome to attend.
