Betty Ann (Mentz) Zamtuk
Age 86, of Glasgow, Kentucky died at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Daughter of:
Emil and Nancy (McIntosh) Mentz.

Wife of:
Larry Zamtuk. They met on a canoe trip. They were married Nov. 19, 1955 and celebrated sixty two years.

She was a graduate of Blue Island Community High School with
further studies at secretarial school.

She worked after graduation as a secretary and was proficient in shorthand.

She was a member of Chicago Outdoor Prairie Club and Chicago Mountaineering Club and participated in numerous outdoor activities.

Betty enjoyed, throughout her life, road trips across the United States and
Canada, hiking, climbing and snow and water skiing.

She loved to bake cakes, fudge, german potato salad, and Scottish shortbread cookies from her mom's original recipes.

Predeceased by:
Her parents; her husband; one brother: Roger Mentz; and three sisters: Marlene Cipolla, Jeanie Vaughn and Patricia Nape.

Survivors:
Two sons; Philip Scott Zamtuk and Thomas Paul Zamtuk; one daughter: Jennifer Lee Ward; four grandchildren: Matthew Lawrence Ward, Heather Lee Ward, Jacob Alan Ward (Nikki) and Carnesa Lakay Matthews; three great-grandchildren:
Brynlee, Luke and Nevaeh; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Services:
Betty chose cremation with no services held.
Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
