Kaye was an active parent at Willowglen School in St. Francis, which her 6 children attended, becoming PTA President from 1962 to 1964. She loved all children, becoming the “neighborhood mother and grandmother” at her home on Rutland Avenue, where she lived for nearly 70 years. She was a Cub Scout leader, band booster and caring neighbor. She was the office manager at Wolf’s Dry Cleaning in St. Francis from 1970 to 1991. When she retired she shared with children her lifelong love of books as the full-time volunteer librarian at Immaculate Conception School. In later years Kaye stocked the shelves of her Little Free Library with books free to both adults and children. An avid gardener, Kaye each year planted in her yard a wide assortment of beautiful and fragrant flowers. She loved cooking, especially her famous lasagna. Her coffee was always perking and her cakes and cookies were always ready for her many friends and family members.
