Betty was born on April 11, 1933 to Luther Thurman and Laura Sue Huffstatler. Her father passed away early in her life, so Betty loved and cherished her eleven brothers and sisters.On June 4, 1950, Betty married Winton Clark Rowan, and they rode off together on a motorcycle. Together they had three daughters and a son, who were the most important part of their life.She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Winton Clark Rowan, six brothers and four sisters.
