John Barrow was the first son, second child born to the Magistrate of Wedmore, John Barrow and Charlotte Maria Andrews. His baptism, along with several siblings, was recorded on 19 March 1812 in the St. Mary, Wedmore, Somerset, England Register. Most of these baptisms were done privately at the Wedmore Manor close to the birth of the infants, but they were not recorded until a later date.

Two Marriages:

1st: Maianne Golding: 5 Oct 1881; St. Peter's Ad Vincula Church, Ditton, Kent, England
• Daughter of John Golding and Mary Manvell

2nd: Sarah Slade: 4 Aug 1849; St. James Church, Poole, England.
• Second daughter of that late, David Slade, esq. of Lytchett
