Opal Inez Beene Moseley, 85, of Carroll, Texas passed away at her home on May 12, 2007 after battling Alzheimer disease for almost 10 years.

Opal was born September 18, 1921 in Jewett, Texas to James William and Vessie Verne Turner Winchester. She was formerly of Baytown where she owned and operated Baytown Rentals, Inc. for over 26 years with her husband, Joe Myrle Beene, Sr. until his death. She later married Bill Moseley and moved to Carroll Community near Tyler, Texas. She lived and loved the farm and ranch life for over 28 years. She enjoyed her horses and raising cattle. She had her own tractor and would work right alongside her husband, Bill. She embraced life to the fullest whether it be in her work or at play. She was loved by all and never met a stranger. She had a way of making others feel so special, always so understanding, taking the time to listen and help in any way she could.

Mrs. Moseley was a member of Dover Baptist Church in the Carroll Community. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Myrle Beene, Sr. in 1977; Son, Joe Myrle Beene, Jr. in January 2007; and by 2 Sisters, Margaret Payne of Marquez, Texas and Dorothy Singleton of Jewett, Texas. Mrs. Moseley is survived by her Husband, Billy M. Moseley of Carroll; 2 Daughters & Sons-in-law, Sue & Billy Mitchell of Baytown and Beverly & Darryl Lusk of Highlands; Daughter-in-law who was more like a daughter, Connie Beene of Baytown; Step-son, Gary and wife, Kathe Moseley of Frisco; Sister, Bobbie McGuire and husband, Mike of Bryan; 5 Grandchildren, Bryan Gesford and wife, Paula of Baytown, Joel Gesford of Baytown, Dena Beene Fuller and husband, Robert of Dayton, Debbie Beene Baker of Livingston and Rhonda Ball and husband, Marion of Highlands; Step-grandchildren, Dylan & Molly Moseley of Frisco; 11 Great Grandchildren; numerous Nieces & Nephews; and last but not least, her very loving and caring caregivers, Jo Carol Russell and Stacy Jo Taylor of Tyler, Texas who took care of her alongside her husband, Bill until she drew her last breath.

Services were entrusted to Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home of Lindale, Texas.
