He was first married to Garnet Merritt at Alexandria, Missouri on 30 Sep 1903. (Warsaw Bulletin 10/2/03.) It must have been a short marriage; she married Albert Piedrit on 27 Mar 1909 in Alexandria.
His second marriage was to Rose Farnum of Keokuk on 17 Mar 1911 at Kahoka.
His third marriage was to Emma B. Kraus of Keokuk on 12 Nov 1914. Their divorce was granted in Quincy on 7 Jul 1943. They reportedly were separated on Mar 1, 1936 when he left and never returned. Whereabouts were unknown at the time of the decree. (Quincy Herald Whig, Jul 7, 1943, p 4).

His obituary (Warsaw Bulletin, 30 Jan 1949) mentions none of his wives. He was survived by two sons and one daughter (Henry Jr, George, and Emma). George died 30 Jan 1971 in Los Angeles County, CA. Burial unknown.
