Charlie Will Alston, born on July 30, 1927 in Webster County, Georgia, passed away at age 91 on January 7, 2019 in Troy, Alabama. Charlie was the beloved husband of the late Merle Dillard Alston. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Alma Massey Alston and Frank Fletcher Alston and his brothers, Frank Alston, Jr. and Louis Alston.

Charlie was a graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College with a degree in Law Enforcement. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff with the Terrell County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of P.T. Schley Masonic Lodge and the Georgia Peace Officers Association. He resided in Terrell County most of his life until he moved to Troy, Alabama to live with Bruce and Debbie Laviner. Charlie is survived by his sister, Mary Frank Laviner and a host of nieces and nephews.
