DONALD 'COONEY' GRAHAM VARNER was born March 28, 1934, at Midland, Texas, to E. N. 'Dago' and Mineola Varner. He died on July 23, 1995 in Arlington, Texas. He was 62.
Donald attended school in Ranger, Texas. He attended Hodges Oak Park Elementary and graduated from Ranger High School in 1952. While in high school he played football, receiving the honor of All State Center and Honorable Mention as Fullback.
He married Joan Lunardon of Strawn on November 26, 1955. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed by Cummins Diesel Corporation as Parts Comptroller.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, and two daughters, Terry and Tammy, 3 grandchildren, Rachele, David and Matthew and his brother, James Varner and wife Judy.
