Muriel E. Murphy, 83, of Cape Coral died Friday May 11, 2007 at the Cape Coral Hospital. She was born in Bronx, NY in 1924 to her parents George and Elizabeth Prohaska. She married James Murphy in 1943. Formally of Bronx, NY, she moved to Cape Coral in 1987. Muriel was a member of Christ Community Church and she volunteered for the Kidney Foundations Thrift Store. She is survived by her children James Murphy of Fort Lauderdale, Suzanne Marceau of Fort Myers, Karen Belcastro of Ronkonkoma, NY, Patrick Murphy of Massapequa, NY, Bruce Murphy of Mastic Beach, NY Kathleen Lopiccolo of Cape Coral and John Murphy of Fort Lauderdale, one brother Albert Prohaska of Bell Rose, NY, eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
