Greta W Bowen passed away March 25, 2003, at Elkhorn Nursing Home in Omaha, Nebraska.
She was born December 3, 1918, in Virginia, Idaho. Greta Watson Bowen grew up in the Hazelton, Idaho, area, graduating from Hazelton High School as valedictorian. She received her associate degree from Twin Falls Business School and held managerial positions at local bands and with the U S Government. she met and married Jack Bowen of filer, Idaho, on July 20, 1940, in Logan, Utah. As a wife and homemaker,m Greta moved frequently with Jack's employment at Union Pacific railroad, to Pocatello and Nampa, Idaho; Portland, Oregon and Omaha, Nebraska. Greta had expertise in many areas including sewing, needlepoint, antiques, antique dolls, and gardening, particularly in the cultivation of irises. Greta served many callings in the LDS Church and was most fond of her position teaching young children in Sunday School.
Greta is survived by two daughters, Jackie Richardson of Spokane, Washington: Jill Alvord of Omaha, Nebraska, and four grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, six brothers and three sisters.
