Sherrill Terry Carlson, of Comanche, TX, passed away on January 13, 2019 in Fort Worth, TX. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, Mimi and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on February 20, 1951 in Coleman, TX to Emmett G Terry and Eunice Cupps Terry.

First and foremost, Sherrill was a Christian. She loved God with all her heart, soul and mind. She was a member of the Vine Street Church of Christ in Brownwood, Texas and previously attended Midway Church of Christ in Hurst, Texas.

Sherrill and her husband Rand met in January 1967 in Richland High School study hall. She was just 15. Two years and nine months later they were married on September 20, 1969, in her mother's living room attended by family and close friends.

While having many different jobs and being intricately involved in the establishment and operation of Mortgage Specialist, Inc. by performing the role of Chief Financial Officer, her true profession was as a soldier and messenger for Jesus Christ her King. She loved helping people, encouraging others and was a true student of God's word. Sherrill enjoyed gardening but excelled at being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.

Sherrill is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Rand Carlson, her mother Eunice Terry of Hurst, Texas, her daughter and son in law Marla and Terry Hamilton of Midland, Texas, her son Terry Carlson also of Midland, Texas, her sister and her husband Cindy and Jack Bryant of Fort Worth, Texas and her sister, Tawana Mills of Fort Worth, Texas.
