Lucie M. Bement
ARGYLE - Lucie M. Bement, 103, of Argyle and a former resident of Port Henry, died Friday, Jan 8, 1999, at Pleasant Valley Infirmary, Argyle.
Born July 8, 1895, in Burdett, N.Y., she was the daughter of Daniel and Lena (Wilson) Martin.
Mrs. Bement was predeceased by her first husband, James Parker and her second husband, Grant Bement.
Mrs. Bement was the second oldest resident at the Pleasant Valley Infirmary in Argyle.
She received her training as an R.N. at Parker Hospital in Sayre, Pa.
Mrs. Bement had been employed at several summer camps as a nurse and at St. Agnes School for girls in Albany and retired from Elizabethtown Hospital in Elizabethtown.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Parker of Argle; and a niece, Joan Kligerman of Lake Loomis, Calif.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of St. Mary's/St. Paul's, Hudson Falls.
Burial will be at White Church Cemetery in Ironville, in the spring.
There will be no calling hours.
Donations may be made, in Mrs. Bement's name, to the Argyle Emergency Squad, Argyle, NY 12809.
Arrangements are under the direction of M. B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward.
