Doris Jean Ledbetter, 90, of Birmingham, AL passed away January 7, 2019. Doris was a member of South Crest Baptist Church where she was director of senior activities. She volunteered with the Salvation Army during Christmas. Doris graduated from Jones Valley High School and attended Birmingham Business College. She was Vice President of Goldome Credit Corp when she retired. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel C. "Bud" Ledbetter; her son, Don Watkins; her sister, Marie Bussey and her parents, Roy Jackson and Warda Mae Cardwell. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Stevens, Debra Bockman and Dale Stackable; her grandchildren, Joshua, Samuel and Christopher Jones, April Herring and Donald Watkins, Amy Park and Amber Bockman, Channing and Whitney Smith; her sister, Bonnie Goldfarb. Funeral service will be Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at South Crest Baptist Church with burial following at Macedonia Cemetery. Bro. Carl Benedict and Bro. Scott Bush will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends Monday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
