Enoch Walter Jackson, 71, of 5216 Wrightsville Ave., died Friday morning at Cape Fear Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
A native of Dillon, SC, Mr. Jackson was a son of the late Marcys and Rose Ann Weatherford Jackson and was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Henrietta Hewitte Jackson; three sons, Walter L. Jackson Jr. and Joseph T. Jackson, both of Wilmington, and David H. Jackson of Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. Ervin Byars of Columbia, SC and Mrs. Zeke Adams of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a brother, R.O. Jackson of Dillon; and six grandchildren.
