'Mont' Hoppel Passes Away Monday Night
Lamont (Mont) Hoppel, 745 North 13th street, died at 7:30 o'clock Monday Night in the St. Joseph's Hospital, Kokomo.
He was born September 5, 1901 in Elwood, the son of Schuyler and Cora Hoppel. He was married to Nina Sherman.
He was a barber for many years, working at the Roger's Barber shop. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and had lived in Elwood all of his life.
Survivors include the widow; the following children by a former marriage, Mrs. Kathleen Burns of Martinsville, Robert of Martinsville, and Monty of Seattle, Washington; a brother, George of Elwood; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Schimmel and Mrs. Goldie McCaskey of Elwood.
The body is at Jackley funeral home.
