Kim was born in Waltham, the daughter of Kenneth and the late Mary Ellen Annese. She was a 1973 graduate of Newton North High School.
In 1979 she married Richard Johnson and moved to Ashby, Massachusetts where she lived for many years and raised her two children Christopher and Elizabeth. She took care of her children during their childhood before returning back to the workforce in the mid 1990's. Kim worked in customer service in the plastics industry for many years.
When her children were grown, Kim moved to the Cape to help take care of her parents and fulfill her dream of living near the beach. She had always loved the beach and was able to enjoy all that Cape Cod had to offer. She loved reading, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Chris and Devon Johnson of Newton, MA, and Elizabeth Johnson and Michael Cafro of Millis, MA.
She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Owen, Fitzgerald, and Sloane, as well as her siblings - Vera and Tom Skinner, Cathy and Frank Albano, Scott Annese, Brett and Lisa Annese, Eileen and Mike Cote, Keith and Kathy Annese, Jennifer and Eric Nall, and Melanie and Tim Hallaran, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be private.
