George E. Ayers, 82, of Lincoln, passed away in Lincoln on January 14, 2019. George was born in Greene County, IA on October 28, 1936 to Fred E. & Marguerette (Peardon) Ayers. US Navy Veteran. Production Manager at Uniservice Inc. and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lincoln.
George is survived by his wife, Jan; daughter, Kristi (Fred) Groth; grandson, Ryan Groth and 4 siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings.
No viewing, visitation with family 5:30 – 7 pm Friday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln. Memorial services will 10:30 am Saturday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home. Inurnment with military honors will be 1 pm Saturday in Wyuka Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to George’s family for future designation.
