Bertha Louise Barefoot, 90 of Lampasas, TX died Sunday January 13, 2019 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple. She was born August 17, 1928 in Caldwell, TX to parents Frank Woytek and Bessie (Vavra) Woytek. Louise grew up in Robstown, TX and attended schools and graduated High School there. She met J.C. Barefoot in a local shop there and they were married. In 1950 they moved to Bend and soon after to Lampasas. Louise worked for LISD as a cafeteria cook for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas. She loved to cook, sew, make teddy bears and quilt. She is survived by 3 sons; Gary Wakeman (Kathy), Franklin Wakeman (Doris), Craig Barefoot (Sheila) Sister, Elaine McCown 7 grandchildren; Gary Wakeman Jr., Ronnie Wakeman, Chad Hamann, Jason Wakeman, Travis Wakeman, Justin Wakeman, Jessica Kelly 13 great-grandchildren 2 great great-grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by her husband J.C. and by 2 brothers, Eugene and Jimmy Woytek and by sister, Evelyn Waller. Funeral service will be Friday January 18, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Senterfitt Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church in Lampasas, Texas.
