Albert Richard Cox, was born in Bethnal Green on the 21st of June 1910. It is believed he was the son of James Cox and his wife Sarah Emma (nee Baker).If so his father was a machine ruler for a stationer. At the time of his birth they were living in Church Row in Bethnal Green.

Albert married Elsie Sarah Elizabeth Dearing in 1937. As far as is known they had no children. In 1939 Albert was working as a postal delivery driver.

They moved to Frimley in 1948 and settled at Manor Cottages next to the Manor House in Frimley just opposite St Peter’s Church.

Albert died at St Luke’s Hospital in Guildford on the 20th of February 1972. He was buried at St Peter’s on the 26th of February 1972.
