The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel in Shreveport, LA for visitation Wednesday, May 30, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Then on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA from 10:00 a.m. until12:00 noon.
Fern Odom was born May 20, 1916 in Toro, LA to James and Mabel Vidler. On May 29, 2007 she went to be with her Lord and Savior for whom she lived her life and to join with her loved ones that went before her.
We know she will be missed by her many friends that she loved very much, especially Miranda Roberts and Evelyn Hoard.
Fern was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Logansport and enjoyed singing with the Golden Tones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Ervin K "Red" Odom, son, Barry J. Odom, one sister and two brothers. She is survived by her sons, Ken Odom, and Jack Odom, her daughters, Sue Punch, Linda Ogletree and Terri Meyers and husband Charlie, several precious grand and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Allen Odom, Brett Ogletree, Jason Odom, Jesse Henson, Michael Odom, Dirk Odom, Chase Meyers and Blaise Meyers.
