Bonnie Joan Roberson 80 of Livonia, formerly of Harrison passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Mary Mercy of Livonia. Bonnie was born June 17, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Harold R. and Jean (Zeigler) Smith. Bonnie graduated in 1972 from Clare High School. On April 9, 1955 in New Haven, Indiana, Bonnie was united in marriage to Mr. Charles F. Roberson. Mr. Roberson preceded Bonnie in death on June 16, 2011 after fifty- six years of marriage.
Mrs. Roberson had resided in Livonia since 2012, moving from Zephyr Hills, Fla and previously from Harrison, Michigan. While living in Harrison, she worked as a Broker with Real Estate One of Harrison for many years. Bonnie will fondly be remembered as a “happy person” always smiling and willing to help others. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing arts and crafts, collecting hats and jewelry while she lived in Florida and eating ice cream, especially Boston Coolers.
Bonnie is survived by her loving children; one son, Charles Michael Roberson and wife Stacy of Livonia, three daughters; Linda Henry of Missouri, Lori Quinn and husband David of Livonia and Cheryl Haas and husband Bill of Zephyrhills, Florida, sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Roberson also was preceded in death by her parents, one son in law, Mr. Bruce R. Henry, two sisters; Beverly Cook and Barbara Baska and two brothers; Harold Smith and Harvey Smith.
Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Roberson will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Gilmore Township Cemetery, Isabella, County.
