Born in Celina on May 3, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Kate (Taylor) Poindexter, and the wife of the late Hugh (Washington) Tinsley.
Survivors include three sons — Hugh A. "Wink" Tinsley and John Thomas "Jaybird" Tinsley, both of Indianapolis, Ind., and Buford G. "Jack" Tinsley, Celina; three daughters — Betty McLerran, Hopkinsville; Bonnie Davis, Celina; and Janetta Spears, Hermitage Springs, Tenn.; a brother, Riley Poindexter, Amarillo, Texas; a special nephew, Paul Stone, Dayton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Four brothers — Frank, Bob, John David and Cage Poindexter, and a sister, Roxie Stone.
Burial was at the Tinsley Cemetery.
