Margaret Lucille “Petie” Gillum, 88, of Springdale, Arkansas, died January 21, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
She was born February 13, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Louis and Helen Petersen.
Petie married Jackie “Jack” Gillum in 1948 and established a home in Fullerton, California, where she resided until 2016.
Petie love to read, sew and tend to her flower beds. She was a sports fan and enjoyed watching football, tennis, and baseball. Throughout her life she worked for Sears, the telephone company, and also volunteered at the Fullerton Police Department.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Linda Rutherford, grandson Justin Rutherford, brother Richard Petersen, and great-great-granddaughter Graceleigh Easter.
Survivors include sons William Gillum and wife Jami of Springdale and Alan Gillum and wife Wendy of San Clemente, California; daughter Judy Barksdale and husband Bob of Palmdale, California; son-in-law Kenny Rutherford of Gentry; eleven grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale. Final resting place will be at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, California, at a later date.
