Lanark Man Succumbs to Pneumonia After One Week

Andrew J. Biggs, 73 years old, of Lanark, died at the
home of his daughter, Mrs. Jackson Ewing, on Stanaford
road, yesterday afternoon at 2:55 o'clock. His death was
attributed to pneumonia after an illness of one week.
Mr. Biggs was a widower. Surviving are a son, Mason
Biggs, of Lanark; and two daughters, Mrs. Emmitt Ewing,
of Stanaford; and Mrs. Jackson Ewing, of Stanaford road.
The body will be removed from the Calfee mortuary to
the home of Mrs. Jackson Ewing this morning. Funeral
services will be held from the Prosperity church, Rev.
Paul Smith, of Beckley officiating, Tuesday afternoon
at 2:30 o'clock. Burial with Calfee Undertakers in charge
will be made in the Biggs family cemetery near Prosperity.
