Mabel was born November 3, 1923 to Gilbert and Dorothy (Mayfield) Lawson , she was one of eleven children and was the eldest daughter.
Jerry married Elmer Scott on June 25, 1941 and spent almost her entire life in the Bentonville area.
She worked as the bookkeeper for Scott Plumbing. She and Elmer were blessed with three children: Carolyn, Jake and Joan.
No matter the circumstance she always had a smile on her face and a kind word for all she encountered. Her strength and loving nature came from her deep faith and love for our savior Jesus Christ. No matter how difficult times would get her love of God grew stronger.
Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years Elmer Scott, her daughter Carolyn Mulanax, her daughter Joan Chism, and eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son Jake Scott of Bentonville, son-in-law Chuck Chism of Bella Vista, sister Shirley Holliday of Bentonville, brother Jim Lawson of Decatur, grandchildren Sanwanya English of Bentonville, Lisa Brewer of Bentonville, Brandi Roland of Bentonville, Keith Scott of Bentonville, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services were held at the Bentonville Cemetery.
