Thomas, one of at least eight children of William Boys and Mary Ringley (alias Ringeley) was born in 1527 at Nonnington, Kent, England.[1][2] Thomas was married twice. He married 1) Christiana Searles (1531-1587), the daughter of Thomas and Alice (Patten) Searles in 1557 at Kent.[1] They had six sons and four daughters born at Eythorne:
1. Thomas Boys (b. 1558; d. 26 Sep 1625, Canterbury) m. 1) 4 Jun 1588 at Canterbury, Sarah Rogers (1570-1602);[3] m. 2) 1603, Mary Hales (1574-1605)

Christiana (Searles) Boys died in July 1587 in her 56th year at Eythore, Kent, England.

Thomas married 2) Mary (Denne) Coppin (1544-1616), the daughter of William and Agnes Tufton) Denne on 16 July 1588 at Eythorne.[13] She was the widow of John Coppin (1530-1581) with whom she had eight children.

Sir Thomas Boys died on 28 February 1599 in his 72nd year at Barfrestone, and was buried on 3 March 1599 in St Nicholas' Barfrestone Church Burial Ground at Eythorne, Kent, England.[14][15]
