In 1994 he was named the Official Town Crier of Salem County. In 1989 he was asked to be a bi-weekly columnist for Today¹s Sunbeam. Ron recently fulfilled a life long dream to compile his columns in a book entitled Mist over the Meadows. He was a member of Penns Grove Excelsior Lodge #54 F& A.M.
Ron is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his first wife, Sandy; son, Christian; two stepsons, Kevin and Erich; brother, Thomas; and three grandchildren, Julia, Gavin and Justin.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday December 30, 2006 in Saint John's Episcopal Church, Market and Grant Streets, Salem.
Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests purchasing a copy of his book to always keep Ron¹s love for life alive and to share it with others.
