Survivors include his sons, Roy Allen Searles and his wife, Carla, of Stafford and Lee Roy Searles, Jr., of Fredericksburg; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; his sisters, Phyllis Southworth of Fredericksburg and Isabel Carneal and her husband, Robert, of Spotsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Searles Kurz; his brother, Aurelius Searles; his sisters, Hazel Jordan, Pearl Delano and Mildred Searles.
A memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 10 at Spotswood Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Stone officiating. Interment will be held in the Haynes Family Cemetery at a later date.
