Attica, Kan. --- Lemuel Roy Appling, 49, owner and operator of Lem's Recreation, died Thursday, apparently of a heart attack.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Elliott Mortuary, Anthony, Kan.
Burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Anthony.
Born in Keota, Okla., he moved here in 1967 from Anthony. He was formerly with the Attica Police Department.

Widow, Alice;
Sons, L. C., Wichita, and Gary, at home;
Daughters, Mrs. Carol Newlin, Wichita, Mrs. Ann White, Attica, and Donetta, at home;
two brothers, Ernest, Greenville, Tex., and Everett, Phoenix, Ariz., and
two sisters, Mrs. John Stewart, Alva, Okla., and Mrs. Richard Burrous, Detroit.
