Age 92, Titus Fields of spring, TX, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at home. He died peacefully of natural causes with his daughter at his side. Titus was born on March 15, 1926 at home in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. His parents were Laura (Bonin) and Edward Lee Fields. Titus was raised in New Iberia, Louisiana and Houston, Texas.

Titus was a veteran of WWII and served tirelessly in the European theater, the South Pacific, Korea, and as a prison guard for prisoners of war in Huntsville, TX. After the war he began a career as a construction plumber in Houston, TX, joining the Plumbers Union. He enjoyed a life-long love of organic gardening and the outdoors, hunting and fishing while also providing for his family and others. He was known for his generosity and kindness and as a good neighbor to many. Everyone whose lives he touched will dearly remember Titus Fields.

Throughout his life Titus was a devoted husband of 64 years to the late Emily Fields. Loving father of Patricia Snow, Michael Fields, Genelle Danner, Geraldine Fields, and Steven Fields; loving father-in-law to Paula Fields and Diane Fields; devoted grandfather to Jane Dickson and husband Damon, Carrie Amy and husband David, Aaron Fields, Samantha Fields, Steven Fields, Amanda Danner, and Nicole Danner; caring great grandfather to Conor and Reid Dickson, Layla and Titus Platt and Weston Amy. He is preceded in death by granddaughter Stephanie Fields, and brothers Daniel Fields, James Fields, Leon Fields, Clifford Fields, and Willard Fields. Titus is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive extended family and friends for visitation at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, Tx. 77039 on Sunday, February 3, 2019 between the hours of 5-8PM. A funeral service will follow at 10:30AM Monday, February 4, 2019. Titus will be laid to rest in Brookside Memorial Park in Houston, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 3rd at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 10:30 A.M.
