BORN FORREST LEROY BERGLAND. Professional baseball player 1913-1919. Catcher for the Boston Red Sox and the Philadelphia Phillies. Cady became member of Red Sox became one of the few men to pinch hit for Babe Ruth

On Mar 3, 1946, at age 60, Cady died in hotel fire in Cedar Raids, Iowa. According to his death records, he was employed as a desk clerk at the hotel. The fire was caused by sparks from an electric heater that ignited some papers in his room. Cady was discovered by the hotel manager after other quests reported smelling smoke coming from his room. The fire was contained to his room Cady apparently forgot to turn off the heater when he went to bed. He was survived by his wife Kittie.
